I am sure that most of you know that the Bible talks about the power of the word. But do you really understand how powerful your language is? Let me give you an example. Several years ago a client came to me for a Kinesiology session because they had psoriasis. During the initial gathering of history we talked about their occupation, lifestyle habits such as diet and exercise, outlook on life, etc. It became obvious to me that this person was very hyper, nervous and had a job that was extremely stressful and gave little attention to rest and relaxation. Now for those of you who do not know what psoriasis is I will explain. It is a skin condition that is usually extremely itchy and causes the skin to develop red, raw nasty looking patches which can have a weepy appearance. As I continued the conversation with my client they shared that they had at one time done transcendental meditation. I asked them how they liked it. They said it was wonderful and in fact they keep telling their wife that they are itching to get back to it! And so they were!
Here is another example. A close friend of mine told me that they had repeatedly said at times, "I'd rather have a root canal." However after they had had five root canals they decided to stop saying that and voila they have not had anymore root canals!
On a personal note, I had a habit whenever I was sharing something that really scared me or was very stressful I would say, "And, I almost had a heart attack!" Lo and behold what started to happen was that every time I was in a stressful situation my heart rate would sky rocket and would have a panic attack. In one instance I ended up in the emergency room of a hospital because of an extremely elevated heart rate. After being thoroughly checked out they determined my heart was fine. Then one day I heard myself describing an emotional experience and using the words "almost had a heart attack." So I began to pay attention to how I described my reaction to any tense events and noticed the pattern. I decided to consciously change the words and made sure that I did not repeat the same thing each time. Shortly thereafter I realized that I no longer had the physical symptoms of increased heart rate and panic attacks when stressed.
The above examples are all real life experiences of the law of manifestation. If you want to create something in your life you align your intention (what it is you want) with your desire and follow through with action. The more focussed you are the more quickly it will manifest. So if you repeated say something with intensity it is very focused and it will eventually manifest. A good example of this is prayer. There are numerous controlled experiments where researchers found that seriously ill patients who were prayed for by others showed significant improvements over patients who weren't prayed for. Prayer is a way to focus the intention, it is aligned with faith and devotion and the action is the verbalization.
If you are wanting to change any situation in your life begin to pay attention to how you language your experiences. For example, if you are dealing with prosperity issues instead of saying, "I can't afford it" replace that with "It's not presently in my budget." If you find yourself saying something that does not support what you wish to create add the word "yet" to the end of it. Let's say that you wanted to be more confident and were asked to speak in front of a group of people and blurted out, "I can't do that...YET!". The key is to really listen to yourself and be very present at all times. Simple but not easy....YET.
